Choer. 7, 10: οἱ περὶ Ἀπολλώνιον καὶ Ἡρωδιανὸν καὶ Ῥωμανὸν τὰ εἴδη προτάϲϲουϲι τῶν γενῶν οἷον εἴδη γένη, ἐπειδὴ ὅπου εἶδοϲ, οὐ πάντωϲ καὶ γένοϲ ἐϲτίν. ἰδοὺ γοῦν ἐν τοῖϲ ὀνόμαϲίν ἐϲτι γένη, ἀρϲενικὸν θηλυκὸν οὐδέτερον, ἀλλὰ καὶ εἴδη πρωτότυπον καὶ παραγωγὸν οἷον ἀνήρ ἀνδρεῖοϲ. ὅπου δὲ εἶδοϲ, οὐ πάντωϲ καὶ γένοϲ ἐϲτίν. ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἐν τοῖϲ ῥήμαϲίν ἐϲτιν εἴδη, πρωτότυπον καὶ παραγωγὸν ἄρδω ἀρδεύω καὶ οὐκ ἔϲτι γένη. οὐδὲ γὰρ ἔχει τὸ ῥῆμα ἀρϲενικὸν θηλυκὸν καὶ οὐδέτερον. πάλιν ἐν τοῖϲ ἐπιρρήμαϲίν ἐϲτιν εἴδη, πρωτότυπον καὶ παραγωγὸν οἷον ἐγγύϲ ἐγγύθεν καὶ οὐκ ἔϲτι γένη. οὐδὲ γὰρ ἔχει τὰ ἐπιρρήματα ἀρϲενικὸν θηλυκὸν οὐδέτερον.
