( Περὶ παρ ῳχημένων). πᾶν ῥῆμα οἵαϲ ἄν εἴη ϲυζυγίαϲ καὶ καταλήξεωϲ, ἢ ἀπὸ φωνήεντοϲ ὄρχεται ἢ διφθόγγου ἢ ϲυμφώνου. εἰ μὲν οὖν ἀπὸ φωνήεντοϲ, ἢ μεταβολικοῦ ἢ ἀμεταβόλου· εἰ μὲν ἀπὸ ἀμεταβόλου δηλονότι η ῖ ῦ ω οὐδεμία τροπὴ γίνεται ἐν τοῖϲ παρῳχημένοιϲ οἷον χῶ ἤχουν ἤχηκα ἠχήκειν χηϲα, ἰξεύω ἴξευκα ἰξεύκειν ξευϲα, ὑβρίζω ὕβριζον βρικα ὑβρίκειν θβριϲα, ὦφελῶ ὦφέληκα φελήκειν ὠφέληϲα. ταῦτά τοι καὶ ἀμετάβολα προϲαγορεύεται. τὸ δὲ ὑβρίζω καὶ ἰξεύω καὶ τὰ ὅμοια ἐν μὲν τῷ ἐνεϲτῶτι θέϲει μακρὸν τὸ δίχρονον ἔχει, ἐν δὲ τοῖϲ παρψχημένοιϲ φύϲει μακρὸν τῷ λόγῳ τῆϲ αὐξήϲεωϲ.
