Λαβὼν οὖν τὸν προκείμενον λίθον ἐπιχάραζε αὐτῷ Ποσειδῶνα ἐν ἅρματι ἱππικῷ ἑστῶτα καὶ τῇ μὲν εὐωνύμῳ τὰς ἡνίας κρατοῦντα τοῦ ἅρματος, τῇ δεξιᾷ δὲ ἀσταχύας, ἔστω δὲ ἐπ' αὐτῷ καὶ ἡ Ἀμφιτρίτη. Οὗτος τελεσθεὶς καὶ φορούμενος πολλὴν ἀγάπην περιποιεῖται τοῖς ἔχουσι καὶ πολλῶν ἀγαθῶν δοτὴρ γίνεται. Ἔτι δὲ καὶ κατὰ θάλατταν ἀκίνδυνον τὸν φοροῦντα διατηρεῖ, καὶ κέρδη μεγάλα διὰ τὰς ἐμπορίας περιποιεῖται. Ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς νοσοῦσιν, ὥστε πᾶσαν ὀφθαλμίαν ἰᾶσθαι. Οὐδὲν δὲ ἕτερον ἀξιόλογον ἱστορεῖται περὶ αὐτοῦ. Φυλακτήριον δέ ἐστι κράτιστον. Καὶ πρὸς ὑδρομαντείας ἄκρως ποιεῖται. Ἐὰν δέ τις σταφυλῆς θαλασσίας οἶνον πίῃ καὶ εἰς μανίαν περιτραπῇ τρίψας τὸν λίθον ἐπὶ ἀκόνης μεθ' ὕδατος δίδου τῷ μαινομένῳ· περίαψον δὲ αὐτῷ τὸν τράχηλον τὸν λίθον καὶ ἰαθήσεται. Ἐπίχαριν δὲ τὸν φοροῦντα τοῖς ὁμιλοῦσι ποιεῖ, καὶ ῥητορικώτερον ἐν τοῖς
