Κουφοτέρας μὲν γὰρ οὔσης τῆς πληγῆς ἢ τοῦ δήγματος, καταντλητέον ὀξυκράτῳ θερμῷ, καὶ ἐκμυζᾶν τὸν τόπον οὕτως. Διακλυσάμενος τὸ στόμα πρότερον ἐλαίῳ ὁ μέλλων ἐκμυζᾶν, πρὸς τὸ μὴ βλάπτεσθαι, οὕτω προσβαλὼν τὸ στόμα τῷ πλήγματι, ἐκμυζάτω καὶ ἀποπτυέτω τὸν ἰόν. Δεῖ δὲ τὸν ἐκμυζᾶν ἐπιχειροῦντα, μὴ ἡλκωμένον ἔχειν τί τοῦ στόματος ἢ τῶν παρισθμίων, ἢ ἄλλως εὐπαθές τι τῶν ἐν τῷ στόματι μερῶν.
