Ἦ γὰρ ἄν, 〈εἰ〉 ἐφῆκεν ἔξω τῆς Ἑλλάδος ἀπάγων τὴν δίκην, οἱ Κορίνθιοι ἔλαττόν τε ἰσχύειν ἔμελλον καὶ τὸ δίκαιον ἐξεταζόμενον καλῶς φαίνεσθαι παρὰ τῶν πολλῶν καὶ γενναίων τούτων συνηγόρων, ὑφ' ὧν εἰκός ἐστι τὸν δικαστήν, προτιθεμένου καὶ τοῦ κατὰ τὴν πόλιν ἀξιώματος, δυσωπούμενον ταύτην τὴν ψῆφον ἐξε- νεγκεῖν. Ἀλλὰ τὰ μὲν ὑπὲρ τῆς πόλεως δίκαια καὶ τῶν ῥητόρων, εἰ μόνον ἀκούειν ἐθέλοις καὶ λέγειν αὐτοῖς ἐπιτραπείη τὴν δίκην, ἐξ ὑπαρχῆς πεύσῃ, καὶ τὸ παραστὰν ἐκ τῶν λεγο- μένων ὀρθῶς κριθήσεται. Ὅτι δὲ χρὴ καὶ τοῖς τὴν πρεσβείαν ταύτην προσάγουσι δι' ἡμῶν πεισθῆναι, μικρὰ προσθεῖναι χρὴ περὶ αὐτῶν.
