Ἴδῃ σε ἡ γῆ, καὶ δορυφορεῖν τῆς Βηθλεὲμ τὸ σπή- λαιον ὑπὲρ τὰς αὐλὰς τὰς βασιλικὰς ἄρχεται καὶ τῇ φάτνῃ κα- θάπερ τῷ θρόνῳ τῶν κερουβὶμ σεμνύνεται. Ἴδῃ σε ὁ ἥλιος, καὶ λαμπροτέραν ἐπὶ σοὶ τὴν ἀστραπὴν ἀφίησι. Ἴδῃ σε Πέτρος, καὶ τῇ φωνῇ τοῦ ἀλεκτρυόνος πείθεται καὶ θερμότερα στάζει τῆς μετανοίας τὰ δάκρυα. Ἴδῃ σε Ἰούδας, καὶ σύμφωνον προστί- θησιν· μαθὼν ὃν πωλεῖ τὸ τῆς προδοσίας ἀργύριον κατέχειν οὐκ ἀνέχεται, μαθὼν ὃν πωλεῖ θεὸν εἶναι τὸν παρ' αὐτοῦ προδοθέντα μαρτύρεται, μαθὼν ὃν πωλεῖ προστρέχει τῷ βρόχῳ καὶ τὸ τῆς ἀγχόνης σχοινίον ἑαυτῷ περιτίθησι.
