Κείμενον ἔτι κατεπείγει πρὸς δρόμον. Ἀνάστησον πρῶτον, δέσποτα, εἶθ' οὕτως ἀναστάντι τὸ τρέχειν ἐπίταξον. Τί πρὸ τῆς ἀναστάσεως ἔξοδον τῷ κειμένῳ κηρύττεις; — «Ναὶ κειμένῳ», φησίν, «ἐπιτάττω τὸν δρόμον, ἵνα μὴ πρὸς δύο τὸν νεκρὸν ἀσχολήσας χρονοτριβήσω τὴν ἔξοδον.
