Καὶ οὕτως τὸ ἓν ὂν ἐκ μερῶν ἐστι δυοῖν, τοῦ τε ἑνὸς ὄντος καὶ τοῦ ὄντος ἑνὸς, ὥσπερ αὐτὸς ὁ Παρμενίδης φησίν. Ἄρχεται μὲν οὖν τῶν περὶ τῆς τριάδος ταύτης λόγων ἐνθένδε· <Πάλιν δὲ λέγωμεν, ἓν εἰ ἔστι, τί συμβήσεται· σκόπει οὖν εἰ οὐκ ἀνάγκη ταύτην τὴν ὑπόθεσιν τοι- οῦτον ὂν τὸ ἓν σημαίνειν, οἷον μέρη ἔχειν> [p. 142 C]. Τελευτᾷ δὲ οὑτωσὶ λέγων· <Καὶ ὅλον ἄρα ἐστὶν ὃ ἂν ἓν ᾖ, καὶ μό- ριον ἔχει> [p. 142 D]. Διὰ δὲ τούτων ὁ Παρ- μενίδης ὁλότητα τὴν δευτέραν ἀφορίζεται τά- ξιν τῶν νοητῶν.
