Ὅρα δὲ σοφίαν, ὅπερ οἱ λοιδοροῦντες πρόφασιν διαβολῆς ἐποι- οῦντο τὸ ὑποσχόμενον μὴ ἐλθεῖν· τοῦτο αὐτὸς πρόφασιν ἐγκωμίου ποιεῖται, τὸ μὴ ἐξουσιάζειν ἑαυτοῦ, ἀλλ' ἄγεσθαι ὑπὸ τοῦ Πνεύ- ματος ὅπου αὐτῷ δόξει. <Καὶ δοὺς τὸν ἀρραβῶνα τοῦ πνεύματος.> Διὰ μέντοι τοῦ ἀρραβῶνος ᾐνίξατο τῶν δοθησομένων τὸ μέγε- θος.
