Ἥλιος μὲν γὰρ καὶ σελήνη καὶ πᾶς ὁ τῶν ἄστρων χορὸς καὶ ποταμοὶ καὶ πηγαὶ καὶ λίμναι πρὸς τὴν τῶν σωμάτων θεραπείαν γεγένηται. Αἱ δὲ ἅγιαι γραφαὶ πρὸς τὴν τῶν ψυχῶν διόρθωσιν ἐδόθησαν· Ὅσῳ δὲ σωμάτων ἀνωτέρα ψυχή, τοσούτῳ τῶν ἄλλων δωρεῶν ἀνωτέρα ἡ τῶν θείων γραφῶν.
