Οὐκ ἀρκεῖ λόγος πρὸς ἐξήγησιν τῶν θείων λογίων, ἀλλὰ ἀνθρωπίνῃ δυνάμει μετρεῖται τὸ λεγόμενον, οὐχ ὡς αὐτῆς τῆς δυνάμεως ἀρκούσης καταλαβεῖν, ἀλλ’ ὡς τοῦ θεοῦ παρέχοντος· οὐχ ὅσα δύναται δοῦναι ὁ διδούς, ἀλλ’ ὅσα χωρεῖ ὁ λαμβάνων.
